Stainless steel is a much firmer surface for the gold to adhere to than other materials. Whether you shower with it or use lotions, the color stays the same. The gold tone may eventually become a tiny bit duller after much wear, but it will not fade. Polish the jewelry a little with a dry, clean cloth to keep it nice and shiny!
